Wheelchair Transportation

Apex Medical Transportation specializes in the transport of handicapped individuals. We offer the highest quality wheelchair ambulettes for passenger safety and comfort. Whether private booking, or booking via a broker, we will get you to your location safely.

Private Transportation

While Apex Medical Transportation works with brokers and insurance companies to enable patients to get to the appointments they need, we are often contacted for private pay. We at Apex Medical Transportation guarantee low rates for all private transportation requests. In order to request a private transportation ride, click here to use our online booking software. Medicaid & Private Insurance

MTM

There are a number of factors which may qualify one for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). NEMT is defined as transportation which is medically necessary and includes procedures and appointments such as: dialysis, behavioral health, rehabilitative services, methadone—and much more.

While all carriers differ, here are some qualifiers for Medicaid:

  • You have no access to personal transportation
  • You do not have a valid driver's license
  • You are unable to drive to appointments
  • You are physically disabled or have an impairment which inhibits travel

Private Insurance: You may be able to get compensated via your private insurance for rides. In order to find out, contact your private insurance company.

Unsure if you qualify? We have partnered with MTM in Rhode Island to help facilitate NEMT rides. MTM provides rides for Rhode Island Medicaid recipients, as well as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program/RI Works and Elderly Transportation Program (ETP) participants.
